About Gnar

Gnar, The Missing Link, is a powerful fighter, specialist, and tank champion in League of Legends who is mostly played in toplane of Summoner's Rift. First released on August 14, 2014 during Patch 4.18, Gnar has become known for their ranged playstyle and physical damage output.

With 10 unique skins available, Gnar offers plenty of customization options for players who enjoy this champion. Gnar has a good amount of skins, including some really nice reimaginings of the character.

As a champion who uses Rage as their resource, Gnar brings a unique set of abilities to League of Legends that makes them a great champ for any team comp.

Gameplay style

Gnar is primarily played as a fighter/specialist/tank, leveraging their ranged combat style to dominate in toplane. Since their release in Patch 4.18, players have come up with a bunch of different strategies and builds to maximize Gnar's potential.

As a physical-focused champion who uses Rage to cast their abilities, Gnar requires players to carefully manage their resources while positioning effectively to deal maximum damage. The champion's design makes them particularly effective against opponents by absorbing damage and disrupting enemy formations with CC.

Gnar's story

Gnar is a primeval yordle whose playful antics can erupt into a toddler's outrage in an instant, transforming him into a massive beast bent on destruction. Frozen in True Ice for millennia, the curious creature broke free and now hops about a changed world he sees as exotic and wondrous. Delighted by danger, Gnar flings whatever he can at his enemies, be it his bonetooth boomerang, or a nearby building.
