Where Mythic Essence comes from
The Sanctum is the main source. Two smaller sources add a little.
Riot says that starting in 2025, Mythic Essence is primarily available from the Sanctum. The Sanctum sits in the Loot tab and sells pulls for Ancient Sparks. The League wiki lists each Spark at 400 RP.
Each Sanctum tier pays out differently. B-tier rewards mostly pay 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 ME. Emote and profile icon rewards also pay 2 ME.
The wiki says a pull from a fully unlocked tier pays Mythic Essence instead. Exalted S-tier pays 270 ME, Exalted A-tier 35 ME, Mythic Variant S-tier 130 ME and Mythic Variant A-tier 20 ME.
The wiki also lists two smaller sources. The paid track of each seasonal Battle Pass gives 25 ME. Hextech Chests have a 3.6% chance to drop 10 ME.
According to the wiki, Exalted pools have a pity limit of 80 pulls and Mythic Variant pools have one of 40. Drop rates change with each banner. The wiki Sanctum page lists the current odds.
